Shape Therapy

I created a simple little tutorial that is most likely very basic to most designers but it can be really relaxing and therapeutic to create something so easy out of the knowledge that you use all the time. Remember when illustrator was such a crazy monster of a program and you thought you would ever remember all the hotkeys? I do, and now to jump right in and teach new designers what commands create certain things is really quite rewarding. I love what I do. Sometimes using Illustrator isn’t very intuitive or cooperative but understanding why it works the way it does is part of the journey. Illustrator is all math-based, meaning that everything can be scaled to a fine degree. Illustrator is definitely my go-to program, I have created posters to menus and lot in-between. https://www.pinterest.com/pin/863917141006991716/

The ideas usually tend to develop on the artboards of Illustrator. I enjoy the flexibility of the layers as well as the easy manipulation of basic shapes. When you finally begin to understand that everything and I mean everything, is a collaboration of shapes it begins to seem approachable.
